Our Services
e)mission offers an integrated service to measure, reduce, neutralise (offset) and communicate greenhouse gas emissions. This is a four step process:
To measure carbon emissions (also known as carbon footprinting) we follow methodologies developed by the GHG Protocol, an initiative of the World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD), with specific references from institutions such as UK's DEFRA (Government Department for Environment) and Oxford University's Environmental Change Institute (for aviation methodologies). We use the most up to date national data from official sources in each country in which we operate to ensure the most appropriate carbon factors.
We work with clients and partners to determine the right operational boundaries for the footprinting analysis, from the simplest activity to a full product lifecycle (cradle to grave) greenhouse gas emission analysis. We have developed our own internet-based tools, which are accessible to our clients for carrying out comprehensive surveys.
e)mission qualified staff can carry out footprinting analysis on:
We work with you to reduce your carbon footprint. We do this by setting up a carbon reduction strategy. e)mission will help you to establish targets to reduce emissions and subsequently reduce your carbon footprint. Most organisations' emissions are directly linked with energy use (electricity and fuel), so a reduction in emissions also means a reduction in energy consumption, resulting in economic savings.
We provide advice on energy efficiency and emissions reductions which take into consideration good practice from around the world. This includes:
The result: a clear, simple to implement strategy for clients to reduce their carbon footprint while saving money.
To neutralise the impact of the your activities on the climate we can supply you with high quality emission reduction credits to match the level of your carbon footprint. This third step in the process is an indication of corporate and social responsibility, which more and more organisations are taking up, whether through internal leadership and vision, or by pressure from clients and stakeholders.
The economy and society will necessarily have to make a transition to a low carbon paradigm – prepare yourself and your organisation for the future.
e)mission will work with you to neutralise (or offset), those emissions that cannot be avoided. This will include:
e)mission neutralises emissions through high quality carbon credits from projects which reduce emissions. The Verified Emissions Reductions which generate the carbon credits are independently audited, so you can rest assured that by neutralising through e)mission you are making a real difference – you are buying real and measurable reductions and also contributing to sustainable development.
We help you to communicate the right message to your audience. Positive action and implementation of environmental policies, such as through neutralising emissions, should be communicated, both within and outside the organisation.
e)mission provides a unique certification system for its clients to communicate action on climate - e)mission neutral certified or e)mission certified - as well as high quality paper-based communication materials for your organisation or event.
e)mission can recommend partners who are experts in the following areas:
These partnerships can assist organisations wanting a special angle to their communications, or developing innovative campaigns or programmes. Talk to us and we can put you in touch with service leaders to maximise the potential impact of your organisation's activities.
